What the list looks like
This is the one we wrote for elmrank.com on October 19 and 20, 2026, the week after launch. Yours comes as a plain email in the same shape: what we found, then the fix.
- 1
Make the www redirect one hop
http://www.elmrank.com goes to https://www.elmrank.com, then to https://elmrank.com. Google follows up to 10 hops, so nothing breaks, but every visit to the www address costs an extra request.
Fix: One redirect rule at Cloudflare that sends every variant straight to https://elmrank.com.
- 2
Link five posts from related posts
Five comparison and hiring posts are linked only from the blog index and their category page. Google crawled one of them and left it out of the index.
Fix: Add a link to each one from one or two posts on the same subject.
- 3
Get the site into Bing
A Bing search for "elmrank.com" returned ten results and none of them were ours; the first was a different company at elmank.com. Microsoft Copilot looks things up on the web through Bing, so this one counts for AI answers too.
Fix: Verify the site in Bing Webmaster Tools, submit the sitemap, and send each new page to IndexNow when it goes live.
Left off the list: a crawler flagged 30 titles over 60 characters and 5 meta descriptions over 160. Google sets no length limit for either, so they can wait.
The list is free. If you hire us, each month ends with a report on what we published and fixed; here is a sample monthly report filled in with one of our own sites.
